Day 4

Some rain during the night, But the worst to come by noon. So we decided to drive to Askersund and wait for the bad weather to pass by. We went to a coffee shop, a restaurant and a pub, before the rain stopped. We took off and found a nice spot just by a lake.

Day 3

First obstacle of the day..

Mission accomplished!

But unfortunately the road didn’t lead to a good camping place. But still, it was fun! So we headed towards Laxå, had a lunch at Subways and then started the search. After just five minutes we found a reasonably good place just by a small lake. We settled in, went shopping for food and beer. We had a quick game of cards before thunder arrived. Luckily not with a lot of rain, but right now we have a rain break in our tents!

Day 2 part 2

After a breakfast with coffee, bread with peanut butter and jam we decided to try to find another camping ground. We went slightly to southwest and after Feridun tried out a ditch we found a small road going down to a lake. Nobody here but the place seems pretty organised, with chairs, table, benches, fireplace and a small jetty. So we stay here for the night. Now the guys are at the supermarket to by the steaks we aim to barbecue tonight. The landscape here is really nice, and tomorrow I guess we will go to the National Park

Day 2 Tiveden

The rain finally stopped and we had some pretty good weather the last part. We had a coffee in Flen and the a stop in Askersund to get some food and fill up water. According to Feridun it might be so that the name Askersund has some historic connection with Turkey. Asker in Turkish means soldier. Er spenat quite some time driving around looking for a good camping place. The guys are not really pleased with the one we got, but I think it’s nice. We had barbecue last night and we were also mildly attacked by mosquitoes.

Rain, rain! Hopefully we will get better way going west!

A short Swedish trip

This year we will only make a short trip in Sweden. It will be me, Andreas and Feridun, and we aim to go close to Tivedens Nationalpark, some 4 hours drive away from Stockholm. We probably will set a camp somewhere and go for day trips from there. We will leave today (12th of July) and be back in Stockholm on the 16th. The GPS track will be updated.
