Finally!
Here is a short film about my trip in September 2014. No definite plans yet for next trip, but a trip to the Baltic countries, Belarus, Russia, Georgia and Azerbaijan is high on the list. More info to come!
15:30 arrived in Stockholm
Time to sum up this trip. I have been on the road for 24 days, starting on the 9th of September, and back at the 27th. During the trip I have travel some 8400 kilometres. I have been driving in 17 countries:
Sweden, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany and Denmark. Countries that I visited for the first time was, Czech, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Albania and Montenegro.
Best country: Croatia
Worst country: Serbia
Best driving: Northwest Albania/Montenegro to Bosnia
Worst driving: Hungary to Belgrade
Best accommodation: Montesevo, Greece
Worst accommodation: Györ, Hungary (still more than ok!)
Best driving weather: Lesbos, Greece
Worst driving weather: Väröbacka-Stockholm (sunny but extremely windy)
Best food: Dinner in Albania
Worst food: The dinner I made myself in Väröbacka
Funniest road: Gravel road in Lesbos
Most boring road: Southeast Hungary
Finally, the winner of the contest “most memorable moments” is driving in Albania. So different but yet so interesting. Like you have seen another part of the world.
I will edit the videos and hopefully come back with a video summary of the trip! Thanks for joining in and taking an interest in my travels.
Already go the question, what will be you next trip? Have to think about that, either it will be something similar to this, or something completely different. I now feel that I have tested driving longer trips and could be ready for something more epic.
The old forrest – the movie
A day and night in Dalarna
Long day, but I really enjoyed it! I drove some 120 k on gravel roads. Some were quite good and some were terrible. Funny though, the ones you love with a car you hate with a bike (newly prepared with soft surface). Some lovely scenery on the way. Found a spot to camp next to a lake. With some telephone assistans from Jordan I managed to get the tent up. Lit a fire and had a barbeque with sausages. Went early to bed (9ish) and woke up later by heavy rain. But when I got up at 4:30, the sky was clear again. Had a long breakfast and didn’t leave until 7. Today it’s Siljan and a drive around the lake before I pay a visit to Björn & Katarina
First coffee stop

Coming up, three days in Dalarna. Camping and driving on gravel roads I hope. More to come…
